Hal Gage is a photographer who grew up and lives in Anchorage, Alaska.

His Ice series evokes feelings of amazement for nature but also apprehension towards the lifeless symmetric iced creations and the eeriness of the black and white emptiness. Nonetheless, they are a testament of the Earth’s riches; of a landscape in danger. Images that speak to the solastalgic consciousness.
